ScaleSafe is an ADC software product for backing up data from grocery barcode labeling scales and restoring that data back to scales. It is designed to replace the old tape and disk recorders that scale service technicians used to use. ScaleSafe typically runs on the scale service technicians laptop and is connected into the scales network at the store, however for Ethernet scales, ScaleSafe can backup and restore to the scale remotely, providing the scale is visible on the network. ScaleSafe works with both serial and Ethernet (wired and wireless) communicating scales.

ScaleSafe can run in native-scale mode, where it backs up all data from the scales in that scale types native format. In native-scale mode it can obviously restore that data to scales of the same brand and model. ScaleSafe can also be toggled into scale-neutral mode, where it can backup PLU, extended text and nutrifact data into ADC's Scale Neutral format, from which ScaleSafe can restore that data to any of the scale types and models from this list.

ScaleSafe is an invaluable tool for the scale service technician allowing new scales or scales that have been RAM-cleared to be quickly restored with data from a peer scale without having to involve the corporate scales management administrator.
